Whole latte love.

Hello again - I wasn't expecting to be doing a double posting today but I had forgotten all about the very first challenge over at Mayzy Art.  I had coloured the digi already but then forgot to make the card - doh!  Anyway it's not too late so here goes -

This very cute digi is called Shawna with latte and is one of a number of very desirable images over at Mayzy Art.

As you can probably see, I used the sleeve for a takeaway coffee as the background strip - I was following the sketch from this week's challenge at retro sketches and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly :)

I would also like to enter this into the following "Anything Goes" challenges at divas by design and Simon Says Stamp .

Thanks for stopping by (again) !

Gruesomely cute?

well I think he's cute - in a ghoulish kind of way!!   Every now and then I have to throttle back on the sweet stuff and craft something a bit different  - even though he's not that gruesome really.
This is a Dilly Beans digi and the current challenge is 'friends' and if anyone looked as if they needed a hug, then it's this little guy :(

I kept it fairly simple, just adding a text page behind the matted image - I punched out a few random holes to add interest and I Distress stickled his wings (not that you can see if on here).

I would like to enter him into these challenges -

Parisienne chic

Good morning :)
I'm following up from my London posting by hopping across the English Channel to the very stylish city of Paris!  This is another digi from my latest City stamp set available now at CYDI LilyPink Designs .  I kept it simple and feminine by stamping a background using lilac and grey inks and adding an inked and punched card embellishment.  The digi was lightly coloured with Copics and I dripped a small amount of the Colourless Blender over it to add a worn and distressed feel.

I don't know why it is but images of Paris always seem to have a shabby chic feel to them and with that in mind, I'm entering this card into the following challenges -
http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/ - Not too shabby
http://ooh-la-la-creationschallenges.blogspot.com/ - Make it Girly (106)
http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/ - Vintage
http://craftycardmakers.blogspot.com/ - Distress it (69)
http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/ - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping today :)

London calling.....................

Hello again fellow bloggers :)
I'm feeling very patriotic as it's very nearly the Diamond Jubilee in the UK - what an amazing achievement, 60 years on the throne!  Queen Elizabeth II is the second longest reigning monarch in England and the longest reign was also from a female - good old Queen Victoria.   Girl power :)

Anyway history lesson over, my card today is done using one of my own new digis, available from Can You Digi It? .  I've been inspired by the smash scrapping/journalling that is all over the web at the minute and I wanted to come up with something that could be used on cards as well as in smash books and scrapbooks - hopefully these fit the bill.  I came up with 3 digis, one each for the cities of London, New York and Paris.

I used the London digi and just added a touch of colour with Copics - the background was done by splattering circles with the sponge tops of Distress Stains and adding a few random stamps in black.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges -

Here's a sneak preview of the digi's -
Will be in the CYDI shop very soon :)
Thanks for popping in to take a look.

Bright and breezy!

Hello all :)  Hope everyone Stateside had a great Memorial Day - it was pretty hot here in NJ but I'm not complaining!
Just popping in with a card that I made earlier when I was having fun with Distress Stains and bleach.  The current challenge at Stampotique is to think BRIGHT so I decided to make my own background by splashing some Distress Stains onto some watercolour paper.  I then flicked some bleach over this and also stamped with bleach using a freebie stamp I picked up from CraftStamper magazine (a UK publication) -  I applied the bleach to the stamp using a paintbrush.  The stamped image is Shopping Shoes by Janet Klein and I coloured it with Copics before fussy cutting it and pasting it on to the backing paper - the sentiment is computer generated.

Calendar time at The Outlawz

Well it's the last Friday of the month which means it's 'Anything Goes' or the optional Calendar choice over at The Outlawz Copic /Promarker group.  I've been choosing to do the calendar each month and as we're working a month ahead to make sure it gets finished in time, I've now completed half a year.  Where does the time go???

I used the Teddy Bea ladybird digi and coloured with Copics (as usual).

I would like to put this in for the following -

And here's the first 6 months all together -

I still havn't decided who to give this to yet.......

Why don't you check out the rest of the DT's fab work over at The Outlawz ?  If you havn't yet joined up, you really should as there are some fantastic prizes to be won every month and there are 7 different challenge groups with a new challenge every week - there's bound to be one to suit you !!

You got a friend in me.............

Hello and welcome to Friday wherever you may be !!  My first posting for today is for the challenge over at The Octopode Factory which, this week, is friends.  I was a bit stuck for inspiration at first but then when I looked at the recent Cheapskate comic images that Lily came up with (here) , I decided to use the pirate girl and team her up with Captain Jack Sparrow !  I had seen the friend quote somewhere before and thought it would be ideal for this dashing couple of pals !!

Why not head over to the TOFF  challenge blog and join in - you don't even have to use an Octopode image (but they are so much fun that I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to !)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is starting well :)
